CPCL Takes on GSA

CPCL members Moira Burns, Nathaniel Ledbetter Ferrill, and Ashley Scott all presented research at this year’s national Geological Society of America (GSA) Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Moira Burns is presented “Characterizing Potential Cambrian-Ordovician Confining Units for CCUS in the Michigan Basin” in the Joint SGD-SEPM-IAS Sedimentary Geology and Energy Transitions session (3:30-5:30 on Wednesday, October 22nd), while Nathaniel Ledbetter Ferrill presented “Petrological Trends in Llandoverian Dolomites and Implications for Platform-Scale Dolomitization, Michigan Basin, USA” in the Recent Advances and New Voices in Marine and Coastal Geoscience session (9:45-10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 22nd). Ashley Scott presented “Characterization of Potential Confining Units in the Cambrian Carbon System: Insights from the Eau Claire Formation, Michigan Basin” in the same Joint SGD-SEPM-IAS Sedimentary Geology and Energy Transitions session as Moira (from 3:30-5:30 on the 22nd), and Ashley was also co-author on a stunning six presentations!
